Sandra Grunauer & eco-sustainable architecture
Hello! I’m Sandra Grunauer, an interior architect specialized in creating spaces that promote well-being and harmony. My approach is centered around creatively designing healthy, efficient, and environmentally friendly environments, optimizing each space to enhance the quality of life for those who inhabit it.
My journey
Since I was little, there were hints of my strong connection with creative design, and now I’m glad I paid attention to contemporary social and environmental changes. This awareness allowed me to easily integrate interior design with sustainable concepts.
I am convinced that I have found my purpose, and being exposed to other professional fields has not been a challenge but rather an advantage that sets me apart from other advocates for ecology. Growing up, I nurtured an eye for innovation simply by playing freely with Lego bricks and my grandfather’s carpentry tools. During my college years, I studied at the Peruvian Institute of Advertising and worked in the Advertising and Marketing sector in Lima, Peru.

Subsequently, the year 2000 marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life in Geneva, Switzerland. There, I earned a diploma in Commerce from IFAGE and worked in the administrative field. However, the major turning point came in 2016, when I completed my Interior Architecture training at the IPAC DESIGN GENEVE Institute. This achievement laid the foundation for launching AmbienTo Déco in 2021.

The value I can bring to you and your spaces
Decorating and renovating are my current passions because they allow me to unleash my creativity, even within the smallest rooms available in Geneva. Bear in mind that many Swiss families live in spaces of 60m² with 2 or even 3 bedrooms, including a balcony, where they must navigate between hallways and other rooms. However, I don’t only work with individuals; I also collaborate with larger businesses. I prioritize optimizing every detail as if I owned the space myself. My projects always begin with a careful analysis of the space, followed by a rendered and materialized proposal.
Not content with offering customized services, I decided to scale up by publishing three workshops aimed at clients struggling with their lifestyles and workflows. These workshops cater to elderly individuals prioritizing mobility, corporations focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and shops striving to renew their visual merchandising.
Moreover, I took a step further by opening my own eco-shop, where I sell decorative furniture and art pieces made from upcycled materials. This initiative demonstrates that things can be reusable and that flea markets serve a genuine purpose.
All in all, I am dedicated to passing down sustainable values to anyone interested, values that can be implemented in every aspect of our lives and utilized until they truly wear out. Life gives us infinite chances—so why not extend this principle to our surroundings?
